I just returned from Mexico where my family and I spent last week hanging in the beautiful, laid-back, surfer town of Sayulita dotted with bougainvillea. I was on a mission to the interior and KS Los Angeles, wrote a piece travel-related Chicago designer Patrizio Fradiani of new cottage (an impulse buy, he spent the renovation last year after falling in love with the city).

The adorable, six-bedroom Petit Hotel d'Hafa seat as a sort of exotic temple of high-surf-style in the center of Sayulita, just one block from the beach. I came in, completely in awe, and met the owner, Christophe Mignot, a French national who spent 10 years living on a sailboat with his family (they now have three children), before moving to Sayulita. He and his wife Marina drawn from Mexico, Mediterranean and Moroccan influences novelty lies within their own design: rattan furniture, hanging lanterns, beautiful handmade rug in Chiapas and signature heart Hafa ( labeling of pillows, walls and carpet grass)

extremely well-designed museum has a history of turning to another virtually unknown in the urban paradise design junkie (see Bilbao, Spain, by Frank Gehry). And I must admit: This is not a bad idea to promote tourism. In fact, Groningen was reached only by the darkness in my candidate for small European cities, one day to visit the Tour, because it's the mad house that art, caramel color, post-modern, medieval and contemporary strange Design Museum, which recently reopened after major ($ 10 billion) by a band of renewal of the Euro uber-designers.

Here's a case of reuse is well. When the restaurant owner David Reiss took over a defunct IHOP location in Culver City, California, decided to go to architecture, rather than against it.
